Daniel and Esther: What is Faith?

 

Halloo!! We are back! Today we are going to talk about, What is Faith? Look at Abrham's life.  When God ordered Abraham to sacrifice his son, Isaac.  Abraham didn't have a panic attack or say to God, "Sorry God, I can't sacrifice Isaac." No, he did exactly what God ordered him to do. On the altar before Abraham he was prepared to slaughter his son but God stopped him. A ram appeared and Abraham could use the ram and not Isaac for a sacrifice.  We walk by faith and not by sight.  We have to focus on Jesus and not what is going around us.  Peter is also a great example.  He steps out of the boat onto the water and starts walking on the water, but when he took his focus off Jesus and saw the storm he started drowning.  Always have faith in God.  Don't look at your surroundings.  Start worhipping God, start praising Him.  He will never fail you.  Hebrews 11:1: "Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see." It is impossible to please God without faith. Noah built an ark with no signs of rain.  After the ark was finished and Noah was in the ark, it started raining.  Don't look at the problem or your situations. Focus on Jesus!  

Faith is believe and see together, no matter the circumstances.  There are so many faith heroes in the Bible.  Like Daniel.  He didn't panic because there were lions, he didn't have a panic attack.  He had faith in God! With his faith, the lions didn't touch him.  Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, Daniel's friends, didnt go into a panic attack or run away or turn their back on God, they were thrown into a very very hot fire because of their faith.  And you know what happened?  Because of their faith, the fire didn't even touch them, and they didnt even smell like fire. Joseph never gave up his faith too! He went from a pit to a palace.  Even when Potiphar's wife falsely accused Joseph and Joseph was thrown into jail, he never gave up his faith.  He still had faith in God! Always know God is on your side and you don't have to fear anything.  Because of his faith, David overcame Goliath and had  many challenges. Look at Paul and Silas, when they were thrown into jail, they start praising God and look what happened.  The jail door opened.  Start praising God, worship Him all the time! Have faith in God!! Study Hebrews 11 and write down all the names of faith heroes and study how their faith helped them to get out of situations.
