Daniel and Esther: Why Christianity? Part 2: Love!!

Halloo! Today we are going to talk about, Why Christianity? Part 2: Love:

Real love is: "1 John 4:10:  This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins."

John 3:16: “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life."

As a Christian we must walk in love.  There is no hatred, no jealousy and no fear.   The First and Greatest and the Second  Commandment is: Matthew 22:37-39: Jesus replied, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.  A second is equally important: Love your neighbour as yourself." 1 John 4:7-8: "Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God.  But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love."

God is love and we also must walk in love.  We must walk like Jesus did...with love.  He layed down His life for you and me so we can have an abundant life.  So we also must lay down own lives for others.  John 15:13: "There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends."

1 John 4:16-21: "We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love.  God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world.  Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love.  We love each other because he loved us first.  If someone says, “I love God,” but hates a fellow believer, that person is a liar; for if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see? And he has given us this command: Those who love God must also love their fellow believers."

There is no fear, no jealousy, no hatred in love.  Jesus said in John 15:9: “I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love."

God is love.  We must also love.  Love God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.  And love each other.  Your life will change forever.  There will be no place for hatred, fear and jealousy.  Walk every day with love.

As Born Again believers we walk in love because God is love.  Where there's love there is hope, peace, joy, self-control, patience and no fear.  1 John 3:1: "See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him." It is very important to know God.  To walk with God.  To study and meditate on the Word of God day and night.  Focus on the Word of God and speak the Word of God.  1 John 4:16: "So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him."  With God on your side you can overcome everything.  Romans 8:38-39: "For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord." 1 Corinthians 13:4-8: "Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away." 1 John 5:3: "For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome." Obey God at all times! John 15:9-11: "I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love. When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow!" Make time, spent time with God through His Word and through prayer.  Don't focus on your circumstances but on Jesus alone!!
